For my complete professional, artistic and educational history:

Mee Ling Liew

Artist-Researcher · Designer · Educator

I am an artist-researcher, designer, and educator working at the intersection of colour, form, geometry, materiality, and lived experience. Across painting, drawing, colour studies, spatial inquiry, and material experimentation, I investigate how lived experience is transformed and reconfigured through making.

My doctoral research proposal, Transformative Colour–Form Methodology (TCFM), positions artistic practice as a rigorous mode of inquiry, examining how embodied experience is transformed through making into visual, spatial, and material form — and how making itself generates situated knowledge through perception, embodiment, and aesthetic transformation.

Rooted in an international practice across Germany, Uganda, South Africa, and Malaysia, my work has always moved between making, teaching, and social engagement. This breadth is not incidental — it is the ground from which the research grows.
